Our story

ADIAR — Association for the Development and Integration of International Architects.

ADIAR is a non-profit organization based in Madrid that supports architects and designers educated abroad in their professional integration in Spain.

 

It was created by professionals who personally experienced the difficulty of starting again in a new country — without guidance, without connections, and often without clear legal recognition of their education and experience.

 

We understand the frustration of talented architects who cannot practice simply because of administrative barriers.Our goal is to make this process easier — through education, community, and collaboration with Spanish institutions and architectural offices.

 

We organize short courses, talks, and initiatives that provide practical knowledge about regulations, professional licensing, and adaptation to the Spanish system.

 

ADIAR stands for the idea that professional integration should be fair, modern, and accessible — because integration is also a design process.
